Website and service terms
These website terms provide a general framework. Project-specific scope, fees, responsibilities and governing law will be confirmed in the signed service agreement.
Start a conversationService scope
Website descriptions explain the types of work SilkVanta can coordinate. No assignment begins until the parties approve a written scope stating the product, location, checks, deliverables, schedule, fee, assumptions and exclusions.
Quotations and payment
A quotation is valid for the period stated in it and may depend on location, timing, travel, product complexity and information supplied by the client. Payment stages, currency, taxes and outside costs are confirmed before work is scheduled.
Scheduling and cancellation
Factory access, production readiness, travel and specialist availability can affect timing. Cancellation, postponement, waiting time and failed-visit costs are handled under the accepted quotation or project agreement.
Client responsibilities
The client must provide accurate supplier details, current specifications, approved references, destination requirements and access needed for the work. SilkVanta is not responsible for conclusions affected by withheld, incorrect or outdated instructions.
Partner services
Laboratories, certification bodies, logistics providers, legal advisers, payment providers and other specialists remain responsible for services performed under their own authority. SilkVanta coordinates only the partner role stated in the project scope.
Intellectual property
Each project agreement identifies ownership and permitted use of reports, website code, copy, design files, research and client-provided materials. Third-party software, fonts, images and data remain subject to their own licences.
Confidentiality
Project information is used for the agreed work and shared only with people or providers who need it for delivery, administration or legal compliance. Confidentiality obligations do not cover information already public or lawfully obtained elsewhere.
Liability
Sourcing, audit and inspection services reduce uncertainty but cannot guarantee supplier performance, every unit, future product behaviour or regulatory acceptance. Any liability limits, exclusions and governing law must be stated in the signed project agreement.
Complaints and disputes
Raise a concern promptly with the project contact and identify the relevant scope, evidence and requested resolution. The parties should first follow the escalation and dispute process stated in the project agreement.
